Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2024 Special Olympics Washington State Winter Games!

Update (Feb. 28):  Thanks to your incredible support, the marjority of the volunteer roles for this weekend have been filled.  You are welcome to attend any of the competitions as Fans in the Stands to cheer on the athletes and be sure to stop by the Volunteer Check-in desk to see if you are needed to volunteer.  You'll then complete our On-Site Registration (instructions below).

On-Site Registration Instructions: 

• If the above volunteer needs are not what you're looking for, you are welcome to go to the venue, stop by the Volunteer Check-in Table and see if you are needed.
• If Pre-registered Volunteers are still checking in, you will be asked to wait in the stands and participate as a Fan in the Stands until it is determined if and where you will be needed.
• Pre-registered Volunteers have priority.
• If it is determined that we have a spot for you, you'll be asked to complete the registration process and you'll be given your volunteer credential and t-shirt.
• Thanks again for your interest in volunteering!  You are encourage to create an account on this registration portal so that your name and email can be added to our distribution list for future volunteer opportunities.

Age Requirements and Volunteer Groups: ​

• Youth ages 11-13 will need to volunteer alongside a parent/adult.
• Teens aged 14-17 may volunteer on their own but in select roles.
• If you are a parent volunteering with a minor ages 11-13 and you prefer not to register the email address of the minor, please select "Small Group" as your Registrant Type. Register an adult as the Group Leader and then "Add Another Person" for each additional volunteer in the group.
• If you are a small group (2-9 persons) of adults wishing to volunteer together, please register as a “Small Group”. Register at least one as the Group Leader and then "Add Another Person" for each additional volunteer in the group.
• If you are a large group of 10 or more and would like to register as a group, please reach out to volunteer@sowa.org.
